This design is influenced by a wrought iron gate, named the Charm Gate for it's charm granting properties, which adorns the Court of Two Sisters in the French Quarter. These Sankofa style hearts interlock, resembling the Adinkra symbol for the "brevity of Mother Nature"... and the Sankofa style hearts are a reminder to "learn from the past when building for the future".
